Importance of growth rate for future planning to a country:
The growth rate is an important factors in determine how great a burden would be imposed on a country by the changing needs of its people for infrastructure eg schools hospital housing roads resources e,g food water electricity and jobs rapid population growth can be seen as threatening or an alarm.
The rate of national growth is expressed as a percentage for each country commonly between about 0.1% and 3% annually. You'll find two percentage associated with population natural growth and overall growth. Natural growth represent the birth and death in a country population and does not take into account migration. The overall growth rate takes migration into account.
