Pakistan ha a total installed generation capacity of 21,000 MWh in 2012.However dependable orde rated capacity is in the range of 14,000 to 16,000 MW during the year due to variety of factors,whereas demand fo electricity is increasing at an average annual rate of eight per cent.And accroding to world energy statistics 2011, published by IEA, paksitan's per captita electricity consumption is one sixth of the world average.World average per capita electricity consumption is 2730 KWh compared to pakistani's per capita electricity consumption of 451KWh.The 40% of the people of pakistan still have no access to electricity.
IMPORTANCE OF POWER/ENERGY.
no industry can run without power/energy.All machines require energy to operate them.No agriculture macine can function without it.Tube wells tractors trolleys threshersall requires energy i.e electricity diesel or petrol.No transport and communication service such as trucks cars railways or aero plane can operate without energy/petrol/diesel etc.No domestic appliances such as electric bulbs televisions fridge juicers and blenders can function without the use of energy/electricity...
