OUR NEW HOUSE:
I m going to wait by the car i called to mark. Outside it was a beautiful spring day the sun was shinning and daffodils were dancing in the breeze. I spotted our new neighbour, Mrs Rees, standing near the front gate. She came to introduce herself the day we moved in, bringing her three little pug dogs to say hello. She's quite a large lady , in her late seventies mum thinks and she has dyed tightly curled blonde hair. She's quite deaf which means you have talk loudly to her but she seems very jolly. Mum says she has a grand daughter the same age as me who also goes to King William's.
Today Mrs Rees had only two of her pugs with her bobby come to mummy she was calling oh bobby where are you? bobb-eeeee!
Are you OK Mrs Rees? I asked.
The two little pugs jumped up wrapping their leads around Mrs Ree's legs and almost toppling her over. I grabbed her arm just in time and helped untangle her.
Oh thank you Hannah dear! she gasped. I m in a terrible pickle. I've gone and lost my little bobby.
Bobby i was confused for a moment before i remembered that was the third pug oh bobby! do you want me to help you look for him.
The brook Mrs Rees eyes widened in alarm. You saw bobby in the brook. No i raised my voice. I said do you want me to help you LOOK?
OH said Mrs Rees yes please dear i m sorry for the mix up. She tapped her ear. My hearing aid isn't working too well.
Where did you last see bobby Mrs Rees? I asked loudly.
Well, i came out of the house with him and suddenly he wasn't there. He must have run off. She started to look around and call out bobee! bobee!
I listened for a moment. I was sure i could fear a faint yapping and scrabbling sound. It seemed to be coming from Mrs Rees house. I went down her driveway and sure enough the scrabbling was at the front door. Mrs Rees i think he's in your house. In there! i pointed at the door.
Mrs Rees looked very puzzled. You want to go in and brush you hair?
NO! I had to stop myself from giggling now. I raised my voice to a shout. I said i think bobby in THERE!
Really ? Mrs Rees looked surprised. But how can he be? She unlocked the door and a third little pug hurtled out. He jumped around Mrs Rees in delight snuffling and yapping his lead trailing on the ground.
