IF I WIN A LOTTERY

IF I WIN A LOTTERY;
If there were dreams to sell what would you buy? I would buy a beautiful bungalow in a posh colony and lead a rich luxurious life. The lottery help us in realising our dream. Even if i don't win any thing there is no harm in living in the dream world for some days. The world around us is full of haste and hurry. We spend whole day working hard and what is the reward. If one is a clerk he will remain as a clerk all his life. He can hardly think of turning a corner. We hear of a so many fairies helping the human beings in their lives and making them millionaires overnight. If a wood cuter can be rewarded with a golden axe for his honesty why can't god of wealth smile on me in the form of this lottery ticket? We have Baba lottery wala round the corner who has displayed the photographs of those lucky winners who purchased the tickets from him. It is another matter that the prize was never more than Rs. one hundred. Who knows. I may be the persons who will it the jackpot? If that golden day gleams. I will go in a car to collect the prize money. How pleasant to offer a hundred rupee note to the chauffeur and ask him to return the change as i have no small currency note! The chief guests will shake hand with me and hand me over the cheque as the prize money.
I will deposits the whole money in the bank and issue cheques to my parents and sisters. I will plan a holiday in swat where i will stay in a beautiful hotel. I  will watch the beauty of the swat lake spots. I will spend lavishly and give tips liberally to the servants. I shall purchase the choicest gowns and beautiful clothes not only for my self but also for my parents and sister. I will loosen the string of mu purse for my parents and ask them to spend freely. It will be really my dream world. I will ask my parents to shift to a bungalow in a posh colony so that we can live there like real millionaires.....

HOW I SPENT MY SUNDAY

HOW I SPENT MY SUNDAY:
I wish every day was a Sunday but alas! the day comes after waiting for six long days. We praise God who made this day especially for the students. I have not to get up at 5 A.M. and get ready for college. My mother knows it and does not touch me before 7 A.M. She is so sweet when she tells me that the breakfast is ready. I leave the bed with a heavy heart and spend maximum time in the bathroom. We have formed a small club of cricket players who assemble in the park to play the game. We have devised the wickets and ball. We have also settled the boundary of the park as the boundary of our ground. Mother sends for me to take lunch and it is only when she herself appears at the scene that i go back  home. I never miss the lessons on cricket by Zaheer Abbas which are telecast from the Lahore station.
Our teachers load us with heavy home work. The parents check my school diary and do not allow me to cut till i have finished it. I try to dash through it as fast as possible. I never miss the Sunday movie on the T.V. It is the  best source of enjoyment. Sometimes i invite my friends to visits my house. We discuss our plans to organize some friendly match with other clubs. We also go to the park to see nature bathed in all its beauty. The park of our locality has own frost prize in the annual competition and is one of the best maintained ones.
In the evening when we sit for supper the fear of getting up early next morning again grips my mind. I remind my mother to wake up early, so that i could finish the remaining home work. Before gong to sleep. I bid sad farewell to my dear Sunday and wish to come again as soon as possible in the form of a holiday...

THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE

THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE:
There is hardly any living being who has not gone through ups and down of life. Actually life is full of bad as well as good incidents. Some of them may be forgotten with the passage of time whereas others leave an everlasting imprint on the mind. One feels delighted when one is favored with fortune but plunges into despair during misfortunes. In fact, the wise man is the person who is neither over joined in property not takes adversity to heart.
Last year, i passed the higher secondary examination. Although i had fared well in the examination yet i was not so hopeful of getting first class. I was very much anxious because the question of my career was involved in it. The day earlier when the result was expected to appear in the newspapers. I spent a restless night. I along with my friends got up early in the morning and wanted to catch the newspaper hawker on the way. Soon he appeared shouting about the declaration of the higher secondary examination results. His shouts were piercing my heart. I hurriedly took the paper and started spotting out my roll number. All sorts of expression were appearing on my face. It was a matter of immense surprise and pleasure to find that i stood second in my school securing 1st class. God fulfilled my desires. I felt grateful to him. My other friends also passed securing good marks. In order to celebrate our happiness we chalked out a programme to go to some picnic spot. We decided to go to Canal.
We reached canal, at 11.00.am. There was a heavy cavalcade rush of people. The banks of the canal were occupied by the visitors. We picked a place under a banyan tree and sat on there. We also took with us all the paraphernalia of lunch. We had our lunch  to our heart's content. Then we listened to music. As we were lost in the sweet music of our tansistor we heard loud cries. I immediately rushed toward the canal and saw to my shock and surprise that a boy was drowning. He was crying for help.
I immediately jumped into the water and swam to wards the downing boy. I caught hold of the boy after a great struggle and dragged him towards the bank. He was in a semi conscious state. When i saw him closely i was surprised to know that he was at one time any class fellow. He was then given medical aid and after some time he regained consciousness. I was delighted to see him recovering. My joy knew no bounds because i had saved the life of a boy who happens to be my friend.
This is day was a day of great joy and happiness. Not only did i secure second position but also did a brave and noble act by saving the boy from going into the jaws of death. This day never the less will go down in my life as one of the happiest day...

MY NEIGHBOUR

MY NEIGHBOUR:
Last Sunday we shifted our residence to a new government colony. This belong is inhibited by the employees of the government. They belong to various department and ministries. But my next door neighbours are really very fine. One is a police inspector. He has a small family. His son is a challenge student. He is a very intelligent boy. He often tells me very  interesting stories. The police inspector is also very gentle. His habits and temperature are very fine. He considers himself to be the custodian of laws and order. He never misuses his power but always helps others. His wife is a lady of religious bent of mind. She is a God fearing lady. She also extends to us deep co operation.
The quarter in front of our belongs to a principal of a school. He is an old man of 55 and is through gentle. His behavior is very nice. He helps the deserving students by admitting them in his school. He gives fee concession to the needy and poor people. He has a medium sized family of two sons and a daughter. They are helping nature. His daughter is my class fellow. We go to school together. The principal loves me very much. Sometimes he gives us very interesting lectures. It is a well educated family.
The family that lives at the back of our houses is a middle class family. But the members of family are really very disgusting. They do not possess the decorum of a civilized people. The head of the family is an assistant in central government. His behavior is rude. He has quarreled with many people over trifles. His children are very naughty. They beat other tiny children. Their mother is also a terrible lady. She often scolds her children. She being an uneducated lady always creates hell in her house. Everyone in the locality is afraid of her. Most of the people are not on speaking terms with his family.
But a majority of my neighbour are my friends. They are social and of helping nature. I pass my time easily in their company. Neighbour's are sometimes are helpful than one's relatives. We should always create a climate of friendship among our neighbours. Thus, i a mlucky enough in having good neighbours....

MY HOBBY

MY HOBBY:
The word Hobby is derived from a Hobby horse which is a stick fitted with a wooden horse and on which small children ride for their amusement. So hobby is a useful work which can be taken up during leisure. Hobby is a useful work in which one takes interest and drives pleasure by doing it in spare time without any monetary benefit. This occupation is quite apart from the regular work. There are many hobbies like gardening, stamp-collecting, coin-collecting, photography, reading, etc, which one adopts according to one's taste and purse.
It is recreation from the exhaustion and fever of life. After a day's hard labor not all persons can go to see the movie and visit clubs for entertainment. Hobby provides a cheap source of entertainment and amusement.
Gardening is my favorite hobby through which i can see nature and enjoy it. Nature is a true and dependent guide of man. Wordsworth contends that nature never betrays anyone who loves her.
Ours is a big house at shanti niketan in Islamabad. There is a open space for vegetation, fruits and flowers. I have grown flower plants of rose, lily, sunflower, and jasmine. The sweet fragrance of the flower serves as a tonic for my body and thus relieves me of becoming a prey to some diseases. I have planted a few fruits also. There is adequate growth of vegetables in our compound. So we seldom purchase any vegetable from the market.
Gardening provides me a good exercise for the day. It keeps me healthy, happy and fresh for the day's labor.
Gardening is my sincere friend and inspires we when ever i am in a depressed mood. Whenever i canst a glance over my small garden and see the beautiful flowers my heart blossom.
Life is a strife, if we rest we rust if we work we shine if we shine the world gives us credit. More over an empty mind is a devil's workshop. It is better that one should pass a very much busy life. Struggle in the life it self gives pleasure to a man.
Hobby thus is an interesting pursuit through which  one derives pleasure recreation and amusement in the leisure. In hobby one sucks pleasure feels exalted and mentally elated. Hobby removes the monotony and melancholy of mind. Rather, hobbies have a great educative value. Moreover hobby gives a stimulus to better living.....

MY FAMILY

MY FAMILY:
I belong to a middle class family in which both the parents are working. My grand parents also live with us. My grand father is retired from the army and draws pensions. He is a strict disciplinarian and will not allow anyone to sleep after 5:30 A.M.  All the children have to get ready for morning jerks by 6 A.M.He treats us as recruits in his training center. He  pulls us up very often and my parents have no choice before him. If you have to visits my house. You have to be properly dressed. You cannot sit in our drawing room with legs crossed. It is against the etiquette. My grand mother is very submissive and gentle. She prepares breakfast and helps us in getting ready. Although she is past sixty yet she is very active and hard working. But for her we do not know how to move about.
My father works as an accountant in a private firm. He sleeps with a calculator in his father in his pocket. He maintains an account book for the whole family. He will not sleep before preparing a balance sheet. When we are busy watching T.V. program he can be seen taking everyone to task for not giving proper account of daily expenses. When my grand mother brings costly fruits it is balanced by simple chapatis next day.
My mother is the finest lady in the world. She does not poke her nose in anything. She is working as a receptionist in a private firm. She has to get up very early in the morning. She is always smiling. When she returns home smile returns to every one's face. My elder brother is a student of senior secondary class. He is a very serious student and does not take part in games etc. His mind is always fixed on P.C.M. (Physics, Chemistry And Mathematics).
I am the youngest in the family. Although i am a student of class 11th the whole family treats me as child. No one calls me by my proper name. I am "tiny" for all of them. I really feel very awkward, when my parents call me "tiny" in the presence of my friend. My friend have also started calling me by this nick name. There is no help because i cannot change my status with anyone in the family.
Ours is a very happy family and i wish it to prosper day in and day out....

THE PERSON I LIKE THE MOST

THE PERSON I LIKE THE MOST:
I have a large circle of friends who are dearer to me than my own life. It is very difficult to name my choice off-hand. My maximum time is spent in the company of Tom whom i call sunny but other call him "spice". I do not know what quality of chilly they find in him but for me he is sweeter than honey.
He is one of the best center forwards in the hockey team of our college. His only ambition is to bring Pakistan on the Olympic match once again in is game. He is an ace sprinter and when he chases the ball, no one can recover it from him. He was the captain of the college junior team which participated in the national games.
It is surprising how he can stand first in different subjects in the class. Most of the players occupy back seats in the class and relax when the teacher writes something on the blackboard. He is very active and keeps on asking searching question.
Last year, he decided to take part in Urdu play and he acted the milk man so well that the spectator burst out with laughter. He had observed the milkman very, closely, and noted down all his action before mimicking him on the stage.
You will not before if say that he is the best debater. How can  a single person combine all these qualities? He has learnt this an from his father. His father taught him to put his heart and soil in anything he did. He often tells me that we should be like a person arrow. We cannot achieve much because our minds are divided most of the time. When we study we should study and forget  everything about the games when we play our mind should not see anything but the ball. It is the secret of his success.....

THE PERSON I HATE THE MOST

THE PERSON I HATE THE MOST:
It is said that Man's body is the temple of God. I don't agree with the view. There are some human being's who are worse than devils. They can shoot down innocent bus passengers or attack the peaceful citizens. They can throw bombs anywhere and blow up buildings and factories in no time. It is not so easy to build but it does not take much time to destroy. Such people are a curse for humanity. More and more persons are joining the ranks of terrorists. Some of  them to save their religion, other to save their culture they have never ready any book on religion nor have they any thing to do with culture.
One of my class fellow was caught by the police he was planting a bomb in a local bus. He was never regular in the class and always occupied back seat. He never completed his homework and always found sleeping in the class. When the teacher checked him, he denied that he was sleeping in the class. He could invent lies at the spur of the moment and never admitted his fault.
Once he had to pay some money to the manger of the canteen. He threatened the manager with  a dagger. The matter was reported to the principal and the boy was rusticated. His parents came and apologized on his behalf. He reminded adamant and refused to admit his fault.
I do not know what happened to him afterwards i was surprised to see his photograph in the newspaper. When i read what he had done, i really felt ashamed for him. He had brought bad name to the college. The police came to the college to enquire about his background. We told the police officer how he was expelled from the college.
He will be tried in the court and prosecuted. Thus, he has brought a slur on his parents, relatives and college....

MY BEST FRIEND

MY BEST FRIEND:
The world looks gloomy in the absence of a true friend. Man by nature is a social animal. A man who lives alone is either an angel or a beast. Thus arises the need for a true and honest friend. True friends, no doubt are rare in this world.
Mr Jerry is my best friend. He has been my class fellow since my early days. He comes of a very good and respectable family. His parents are well to do. Jerry always stand first in the class. Jerry is very much interested in games and debates. He is a good speaker and always bags prizes. Jerry is one of the most popular boys in the school. Students like him very much because of his good qualities and sound character.
He possesses all the qualities of head and heart. He has a sweet temperament. He is just like a mirror which reflects the merits and demerits of others. He advises and lovers all but hates none. He also shares the joys and sorrows of his friends.
A friend is the elixir of life and panacea for a ills. A friend is very useful at the time of adversity. Jerry really proves the proverb that a friend in need is a friend indeed. But there are friends in this world, who are fair weather friends. When one's purse jingles with money, they flock otherwise they run away.
My best friend is the embodiment of all human virtues. He never injures any one's feelings. He is a calm and quiet boy. He is very sympathetic is the poor feeds, the hungry and nurses the sick. He has a religious bent of mind. All of these noble acts of his make him my true sincere and best friend. I have learnt a lot from him. For me he is the sea of knowledge. Service of humanity devotion to duty obedience to elders and love for younger are his great ideals.
As a matter of fact. I am lucky that a person like Jerry is my best friend. For me he is a source of inspiration and strength. These qualities have tempted me to call him my true friend....

HOME SWEET HOME

HOME SWEET HOME:
East or West, home is the best. It is a famous old saying which is true to the hill. I live in a small flat which was built by the L.D.A. My father owns it on hire purchase basis and pays monthly installments. When the house  was allotted it was only a one room to meet the needs of the children.
It is a compact dwelling in which we have all the facilities within the four walls. We have combined the bathroom and toilet and created a small kitchen. There are marble chips on the floor. We have covered the drawing room with wall to wall carpet. The show case in the drawing room has been tastefully decorated. All the greeting cards have been arranged very well in the center. Whenever we visit some historical place, we bring some moment to from there and place it in the show case. We have arranged the drawing room in such a manner that it can be changed into a guest room. I have a folding study table in a corner where i do my home work.
There is a box type doubled bed in the bed room. We have filled those boxes with our winter beds. The almirah in the corner contains all our ward robes. We have T.V. set in one corner which we views at night. We never miss the news and the drama. We can use it with the help of remote control sitting in our beds.
Although it is a very small flat yet i get all the comforts of life in it......

WHEN I WAS A SMALL CHILD

WHEN I WAS A SMALL CHILD:
I am the eldest child in my family and was born after seven years of my parents marriage. You can very well imagine what a rare gem i am for them. I was fondled lavishly and a single tear from my eye would bring ten from my mother's eye. When i started walking with the help of baby walker my parents held a grand feast. Noises of every type of fascinated me. When the Balloon seller passed our lane. I used to run after him. My mother would buy the balloon filled with grains. It made sweet noise when it was jerked about. She also bought beautiful toys which had a whistle fitted underneath. When i pressed the dolls, she, would squeak. When i was three years old my birthday was celebrated with great pomp and show. My parents might have celebrated my first and second birthdays as well, but they have not left any trace in my memory. My relatives had brought beautiful toys which had to be wound up.
When the toy car was left on the floor, it would for some distance. When the joker was wound up, it would blow a trumpet. It was a strange world when my parents were ready to bring moon from the sky.
Once a juggler with two monkeys came to our street. He showed monkey tricks which engaged my attention. The he monkey fell in love with she monkey. She refused to marry the male monkey. He monkey went to his father in laws house. I also liked the tricks shown by the juggler.
I was taken to the school when i was five years old. My parents had carried sweets to be distributed among the students. I was wearing a new dress and my mother had groomed me  with great care. Both my parents left me there and walked back home. I shouted and cried but there was no help. My tears could not bring them back. The teacher talked gently and asked other students to make friends with me.
I grew up very fast. My friends grew in numbers and we started playing pranks with our neighbours. We used to enter my house and press the button of the call bell. When the owner came out, we used to run away as fast as our legs could carry us.
These memories are things of the past and a huge bag of books and heavy home-work is left -behind........

THE FUNNIEST INCIDENT

THE FUNNIEST INCIDENT:
One Sunday morning, i received an invitation from a friend of mine. Mr Sohail. I had come back from U.K. to my native a palace. So, he invited me to lunch. I got up early in the morning and started getting ready. My sister gave me a cup of a tea early in the morning. Then i took my bath and got ready. My sister then again asked me to take some snacks and tea but i refused to take it as i was more interested in reaching my friend's house. She insisted upon me to take a heavy breakfast but i ignored her request. I went out of my house and stood at the bus stop. I boarded the bus. Meanwhile the conductor came and asked me to buy the ticket. I asked him to give me a ticket for Model town. The conductor frowned upon me saying. It is going in the reverse direction you get down at the next stop and catch another bus. I was baffled for some time. Then i alighted from the bus and again waited for the bus going to the model town.
I got the bus and reached 20 model town. But surprisingly when i reached his house. I found the door locked. I was puzzled and thought whether i had come to the right place. But a little later, as i was gazing and pondering a neighbour of my friend came and asked me. For what are you standing here? Do you want to meet some one? I replied. Yes i want to see Mr Sohail here".  He immediately replied. But he has living changed his house last Wednesday and has gone to Samanabad. I got his address from his neighbour.
Frustrated i came back to the bus stop. I was feeling hungry. Soon it started drizzling. I was now in a fix as to do and what not. My confusion became all the more confounded by the torrential rains. I had refused to take morning breakfast in the hope  that i would take it at my friend house. At this stage my  anger was mounting. I was cursing myself as well as my fate. But soon the anger got the better of my self. I made up my mind to meet Sohail.
I made my journey to samanabad and reached his home rang the door bell, kamal, a tiny tot Sohail's youngest brother came out and greeted me with a hello uncle. The moment i entered the drawing room. I saw the parents of Sohail sitting on the sofa. They offered me a seat and sat quite modestly. As i was about to talk about invitation extended to me by Sohail dolly Sohail's sister came with tea. She was looking like a pretty and vivacious damsel. Now the elderly mother of Sohail began to talk very politely. Look son the invitation to tea was a joke as you know today is 1st  April ....fool's day. But you are fortunate that your proposal of marriage has been accepted by all members of our family. I was thrilled to hear these words coming from the august lip of dolly's mother. My joy knew no bounds. The facial expressions of dolly were quite attractive. Her silent looks pleased me as she was making silent expressions of love. We had the tea to our heart's content. I rushed from their house in order to convey this happy news to my parents. This day indeed was the funniest and happiest day of my life............

MY INTERESTING DREAM

MY INTERESTING DREAM:
Dreams are the by products of our sub conscious state of mind. Dream are of many kinds. But the dream which i had last Sunday was the most interesting dream of mine. In dream i was transported into a fairy land where beautiful belles were dancing and singing.
I dream that i had gone to Paris. There i went into a night club. I saw many exciting scenes there Twists ballroom and shake were going on. As i was watching the spectacle of dance and drama, a beautiful girl gazed upon me.I was attracted by her rosy cheeks and alluring eyes and smiles in her face. I at once recollected the famous poem of Keats known as La Belle Dame Sans Merci. Her silent expression of love enthralled me. I was really captivated by her charms and sweetness. She was really making her silent expression of love to me i thought of responding to her love.
I talked to her and she passed very lovely and witty remarks upon me. Then both of us look a cup of coffee. We talked to our hearts, content. At the same time. I was recollecting the eternal lines of Shakespeare.
Love is not love that alters
 When it finds alteration
Or bends with the remover to remove.
Now u was thinking whether her love was true or false. But i tried to be true her. I sincerely expressed my love to her in the most unambiguous terms. We ultimately promised to marry and live as companions.
Soon the dance drama and music programme came to an end. With this she also went somewhere, saying that she will be coming soon.
I kept waiting for her. But she did not turn up. I was repenting over my love. I was thinking that i had been be tread in love. As i was pondering over this heart stricken subject my eyes opened. I realised that i was enjoying the night life of Paris in dream.
In the dream i really came across a woman whi has been describe by john Keats in his profound poem "La Belle Dame Sans Merci" i.e. The beautiful woman without Mercy. The dream was interesting exciting and intoxicating....

DastN e mohabbat

Kitne jhoote that hum mohabbat main tum bhi zinda hoo hum bhi zinda hai....
